HOME

I am back home safe in the arms of America. I really miss Korea already. I also realized that it is the people that make a place special. Koreans are extremely friendly, helpful, fun people and that is what made the trip so great. All the Americans there were nice too. Well, I just wanted to let you know Im home.

Underground Shopping

I went shopping today and spent 116,000 won!!!! Which translates into almost $100 US. I got so many cute things. One outfit though I will have to lose weight before I can wear because it is a little snug. Well more than snug but anyways. The reason is because they don't let you try stuff on here rand everything is "free" size. That means it's the size the maker made it. This makes it hard to know what is going to fit you and what is not. But 10,000 won for an outfit!!! (That's like $10 US.) You can't beat that price. I may buy more stuff tomorrow but we'll see. I am going to try to get my hair dyed tomorrow. I am thinking darker!! Yes, tomorrow shall be fun. I miss everyone and will write again soon with pictures.

Love,

This Week

This was Tight-Rope Dancing at the Korean Folk Village we went to today. It was nice but very touristy, which, well, is what I am but I was hoping for the real deal. Such is Life. Anyway, maybe tomorrow I will post some more pics. I am really tired right now and am looking forward to bed. I am going to go to Church tomorrow which will be fun. Sorry about the video being sideways. I don't know how to change it to normal view.
I love you all,

East Sea

Hello from Korea

I am going to the East this weekend with the school. It should be fun.  I am not taking my computer though so I won't be writing until Sunday night. Well Sunday morning for you. Anyways, Karaoke was so fun last night. I hope I can take my roommate because she didn't go and she totally missed out. it wasn't expensive either. It was about three dollars a person. I paid a little extra because I wanted to and that seems to be the trend in Korea. Everybody pays for everybody. Anyways, I am getting ready for the day. I will talk to you again soon. With all my love,
Hey all,

Today was a way better day. It only sprinkled a little this morning. Tonight we had the welcome party from the school and had hamburgers and hotdogs. It was fun everyone just had fun. There were lots of laughs and crazy dancing. Now, I am going to go karaoke with some girls that i have been hanging out with. Their names are Jean, Loan, Inga, and I think kelli. It sounds like fun. Karaoke is really big here. I am excited. Well, I love you all and I will post pictures soon. I just need to borrow a cord from my friend! See you soon

Thursday

Today was another day of classes. I really like this movie we watched in lit class today called " red Cliff." It's a chinese movie. My friend Lesley loves the chinese culture so she is really into it. She is the cutest ever. I am also enjoying the book of short stories we are reading. They are interesting. Today, it was really hot. So after our activity a bunch of us had a water balloon fight. It was way fun but over quickly. Tonight, lesley and I are going to watch Gran torino on my laptop. That should be fun. Well, going to watch the movie now. I love you all.

I really want to go today because it doesn't look like it's going to rain today. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am Half way through the first week. Only Three and a half left. Hmmm. I hope it'll go by fast. I can't stand this rain. Next time  want to go somewhere warm with no rain!!! At least ot intense rain. ugh. Well I am off to search for breakfast. I love you all.

an nyong ha se yo(hello) all,
Today was the first day of classes.  My first class wasn't until eleven so at ten I wandered around campus finding things. My first class is awesome. My teacher is Indian, as in from India, she is great. She makes class really fun. My second class has like no one in it though and the teacher doesn't speak english very well so its hard to follow along. I think I might switch into the lit class because I love reading anyway. I found a friend with a cord that fits my camera so I can just borrow hers, Yay!! I have a few pictures from the last couple days but not many. We made a traditional Korean food today called bibimbap, I think. It was good. There was tons of sesame oil in it. I think that is like olive oil for us. Then I went to this place called E-Mart. It's kinda like a Walmart and Costco and mall all mix in one. It was way cool. I got some fruit and hand soap and a hand towel there. It was way fun and I got to know a few more people better. I am so glad because I am starting not to feel so alone.  There are so many types of cultures here It's amazing. Well, here are some pictures....
